The phlebotomist collects blood and other specimens at the hospital and at outpatient draw sites; may provide administrative support to technical staff per established protocol, while exhibiting service excellence standards of behavior at all times.# The phlebotomist at outpatient draw sites may register patients and specimens for lab testing, receives outpatients, and enters laboratory information system data. Minimum Education # High school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy training course preferred. Minimum Work Experience # 6 months of specifically related patient care/services experience preferred.# Required Licenses/Certifications # BLS Certification through American Heart Association* * within 1 month of hire Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities # General knowledge in the areas of medical information and laboratory safety is desired. Ability to effectively communicate patient information to physicians, office staff, and hospital employees.# Ability to act as a clinical laboratory information resource to all customer groups. Ability to accurately transcribe and verbalize patient data. Demonstrates strong knowledge of basic computer skills. Pay range: $16.12 - $23.93 COMPETITIVE DIFFERENTIALS RATES $4.25 - Evenings $8.00 - Nights $4.75 - Weekends #PM24
