Phlebotomist

Description:

Performs phlebotomy on patients using various phlebotomy techniques (straight needle, butterfly) in a hospital setting. Will not be giving injections, blood draws only.

CURRENT OPENINGS:

2nd Shift (1:00 PM - 9:30 PM) -- 10% shift diff x 1 (24 hrs per week)

3rd Shift (9:00 PM - 6:30 AM) -- 18% shift diff x 2 (27 hrs per week)

3rd Shift (9:00 PM - 6:30 AM) -- 18% shift diff x 4 (36 hrs per week)

All require rotating weekends and varying weekdays. Schedule is made a month ahead of time.

Description:

Phlebotomists will be required to draw patients' blood and perform specimen processing in a hospital setting.

These positions are responsible for the collection and receipt of biological specimens into the department, their proper entry into the company's computer system, the preparation of samples for analytical testing and/or the distribution of these specimens to the proper analytical area. This includes responsibility for pre and post aspects of analytical testing. This position will also perform specified analytical testing as assigned. Follows the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.

Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Open to entry level with externship experience and references.
