Phlebotomist

Actalent is currently partnering with a laboratory in Johnson City in need of a Phlebotomist to join their team. Please see below for details and qualifications!

Description:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect and store specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles

• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Process billing information and collect payments when required

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100 correct

• Package specimens for transport

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs

Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• 6+ months experience required

• Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite

• Entry Level
• 1st shift M-F
• $16-18/hr, BOE
