Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Development, and in collaboration with the four critical divisions of Major Gifts, Annual Giving, Grants and Special Events, the Philanthropy Officer Grateful Patient will perform a variety of duties to advance fundraising by implementing, managing and directing a strategic and proactive Grateful Patient program.

Increases new donor acquisition and supports increased engagement with physician and other clinical leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In conjunction with Philanthropy colleagues, develop, plan, and implement grateful patient program best practices to create a program focused on acquiring new donors from patients and their family members.

Work in conjunction with Information Services to identify prospects by obtaining lists and utilizing donor screening software.

Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to segment these prospects in order to maximize giving potential.

Strategize with Gift Officers to determine the most appropriate methods of communication for each identified tier of prospects and implement the outreach for each using multi-channel communication.

In collaboration with Annual Giving Officer create impactful solicitation letters and other messaging tailored to grateful patients and families.

Support the activities of Gift Officers as it relates to clinician referrals, outreach, and training.

Create collateral materials for outreach to grateful patients and clinician referral program.

Responsible for the recording of grateful patient activity in the CRM, adhering to HIPAA and privacy guidelines.

Develop tracking systems to evaluate and measure results of activities.

Collaborate interdepartmentally to establish consistent messaging and branding.

In collaboration with the Philanthropy team create a strong culture of philanthropy across CNE.

Participates in evening and weekend events and meetings with donors as needed, including some local travel.

Performs other job-related duties as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required

3 to 5 Years in fundraising, higher education, athletics, alumni relations, or a similar field preferred

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Raisers Edge preferred.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, build effective relationships, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to develop strong relationships with the highest degree of professionalism.

Outstanding interpersonal skills to allow successful interactions with all constituencies, including donors, hospital staff, and patients.

A can do attitude and self-motivated with a results-oriented focus

Ability to handle confidential material responsibly and interact professionally with diverse individuals

Proficiency in using digital technologies for communication, information management, and problem-solving
