In 2003, Anne O'Callaghan, an immigrant from Ireland, founded The Welcoming Center (TWC) to address the significant barriers immigrants of diverse backgrounds face when trying to enter the U.S. TWC's mission is to promote inclusive economic growth through immigrant integration. Efforts are concentrated in four key areas - workforce development, entrepreneurship, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and community engagement.
TWC works to open doors for low-to-moderate-income immigrants who are unemployed or underemployed from all education and skill levels, to build individual and collective agency, and to improve integration. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
