Summary:

Coordinates end-to-end supply chain processes from the purchasing of recycled materials from vendors, buy back customers and subcontracting into warehousing and the handling of direct sales of rework scrap sales to end customers from productions sites and/or warehouses. Includes processing of all ERP transactions utilizing materials management, logistics and sales functionality while tracking inventories and flow of materials.

Job Skill Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the end-to-end Supply Chain and Production processes.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERP, WMS and TMS systems and processes.

  • Proficiency of ERP transactional systems with MM, Logistics and customer service processes.

  • Demonstrated ERP skills for problem solving and resolution techniques for MM/SD transactions.

  • Organizational skills with attention to detail demonstrating a high level of accuracy.

  • Self-management possessing solid judgement with high level of ethical standards

  • Strong collaboration, communication and follow-up skills working with rework vendors and customers, operations, accounts payable and receivable, logistics and warehouses meeting deadlines.

  • Computer Proficiency with Excel for report generation for order and inventory tracking.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:

Materials management

  • Serves as kp liaison for recycled customer buyback program and subcontracting vendors.

  • Coordinates the customer buyback program and processing of customer buy back purchase orders and coordination of logistics movement from customer to kp warehouses.

  • Processes transactions form purchase order creation for customer buy back and/or subcontracting vendors to goods receipts into plant or warehouses including subcontracting consumptions.

  • Communicates purchase order schedule revisions to vendors as material requirements change.

  • Updates changes to purchase orders after changes have been confirmed with vendor.

  • Assists Materials manager with creation of purchase orders for direct buy purchases as required.

  • Supports subcontractors and Buyback customers with gaylord boxes, supersacks, and P.E. liners coordinating the logistics to transfer these packaging materials from kp site or vendor.

  • Approves or rejects requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules.

  • Maintains accurate subcontracting inventory to the SCM managers and warehouse inventory reports for customer buy back and direct buys purchased and scrap related rework materials.

  • Provides inventory related reports to Management team or other groups as needed.

  • Maintains a tracking list of open buyback customer related orders.

Sales: Customer service

  • Serves as liaison for kp recycled customers purchasing rework scrap.

  • Maintains customer master data including pricing for the accuracy of sales orders.

  • Processes the entry of all recycled sales orders including pricing and terms of the sales order

  • Follows all orders and expedites supporting the movement of scrap sales in a timely manner.

  • Maintains an updated customer order shipment date or delivery date for all orders.

  • Advises customers concerning estimated delivery schedules and maintains follow-up to ensure optimum performance on delivery schedule.

  • Advises all relevant departments concerning order changes with material or carriers.

  • Follows processing of sales order with delivery and shipments through invoicing for customer

  • Responsible for reviewing and managing credits with the material manager.

Logistics

  • Coordinates and processes all transactions from purchase order to receipt into plant and warehouse and/or subcontracting operations including tracking of buyback customer related orders.

  • Coordinates and processes all transactions for material movements from subcontractor to warehouse and/or or customer shipments including tracking of orders and/or movements.

  • Logistics execution to ensure timely delivery between production plants and outside warehouses.

  • Monitors and ensures all warehouse deliveries are planned with the transportation provider

  • Directs logistics 3rd party providers of material and related orders changes for warehouse movements.

Other

  • Reports purchasing, subcontracting, shipping and sales orders data to kp ERP system.

  • Responsible for accuracy of receiving, subcontracting, purchase orders and sales orders.

  • Researches, analyzes, then recommends methods that will reduce costs, time and solve problems that will contribute to providing the best customer service to KPA customers possible.

  • Answers customer/salespersons and vendors questions on the status of the orders and shipments.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems with purchasing, subcontracting, materials management, logistics, customer service and warehouse inventory control systems.

Functional/Technical Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills for inter-department relations, vendors and customers.

  • Ability to independently respond to common inquiries or exercise autonomous judgment in the resolution of complaints from production or sales and effectively communicate to management.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have at least intermediate skill level of Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software.

  • Experience with WMS and TMS systems

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively with interdepartmental correspondence through presentation of information and analyzed data to achieve alignment with standard operating procedures and resolutions.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual will have the knowledge of ERP and MES Systems with managing purchase orders, logistics execution, inventory/warehouse control, and sales customer service functionality. Prefer ERP (SAP) subcontracting experience. PC skills to include MS intermediate excel, word, and powerpoint.
