Position Summary:

Responsibilities include a variety of tasks and projects that will support the day-to-day operations of the PhD program, including: curriculum and assessment, recruitment and admissions, student support, and program support. Examples include but are not limited to: mana=ging dissertation continuation, overseeing the comprehensive examination testing process, responding to emails and phone calls of prospective students, ensuring admissions information is up to date, managing assistantships and student employment paperwork, focusing on retention of students by facilitating regular meetings throughout the semester, coordinating research and writing support initiatives, managing student teaching, and overseeing the collection of assessment data. The Coordinator will work closely with the Assistant School Director

  • PhD Program to collaborate on projects to not only maintain the program, but to also create and implement priorities and initiatives aligned with the Strategic Plan.

The start date is August 12, 2024

The Coordinator must have availability during business hours Monday-Friday from 8-5pm Mountain to collaborate with administration, staff, and faculty. Occasional evening events pertaining to the program area may also be required in order to support students and the program.

Qualifications

1.Doctorate in Counselor Education required.

2.Hold current position as tenured, tenure-track, or clinical faculty within the School of Counselor Education.

3.Ability to perform duties in the position description.

4.Ability to treat others with respect, civility, and courtesy and work honestly, effectively, and collegially with employees, students, and the community. This includes the ability to use appropriate conflict management skills to effectively manage any disagreement that might arise or bring the disagreement to management for assistance in productive resolution when the situation requires.

5.Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups with various identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment.

Salary

Appointment is made on an annual basis. The pay range for this position is $12,960 each academic year plus cost-of-living adjustments in years when base salaries are adjusted for COLA.
