This position is in Pharmacoepidemiology within Global Development in Tarrytown, NY. There is 1 opening for Summer 2020. Each opening is described below.
This is a summer internship in Pharmacoepidemiology. Under the general supervision of Pharmacoepidemiology Therapeutic Area Lead for Oncology at Regeneron, the student will receive exposure to many aspects of pharmacoepidemiological research projects, including the support of post-marketing commitment studies and regulatory fillings. Specifically, the student will have an opportunity to learn: 1) Critical role and responsibility of epidemiology in biopharmaceutical industry; 2) processes and procedures related toepidemiology research such as development of study proposal, study protocol with study design, methodology, data collection, data analysis, and study report; 3) regulatory guidance and guidelines related to epidemiology research as it relates to the biopharmaceutical industry; 4) methods for safety signal detection, evaluation, and management; 5) Performing literature reviews that may inform external and internal presentations and regulatory submission; 6)professional development skills such as networking, project management, business communications, and medical writing; 7) collaboration through interaction with cross-fuctional teams and/or external consultants.

Must be pursuing a PhD
Must be pursuing a doctoral program with Epidemiology concentration
Desired technical skills include, but are not limited to, basic computer skills, MS office, research and analysis, literature search and review, communication skills, fluent writing and spoken English, interpersonal communication, collaboration, time management, adaptability, and critical thinking
General Intern Program Information:
Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or PharmD
Summer Program is full-time (~40 hrs/wk) for at least 10 weeks and is paid
Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community
Minimum GPA of 3.0
You will work with a specific manager on a project(s)
