Pharmacy Technician/Inpatient/Ukhc

Job Summary

UK HealthCare is seeking motivated, patient-centered individuals interested in pursuing a career as a pharmacy technician. The UKHC Pharmacy Technician Academy will allow you to enjoy the pay and benefits of a UK employee, while also receiving on the job training, hands-on experience, and instructor guided learning.

In addition, you will have access to numerous resources and study materials. The program is 16 weeks long, and is designed to prepare you for the National Pharmacy Technician Certification exam. As a Pharmacy Technician Academy employee, you will train and work as a full-time team member within the Department of Pharmacy Services.

There are a variety of different pharmacy technician roles within the department in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will gain exposure to these different settings of pharmacy through program participation. This program is unique to UK HealthCare in that the department covers the cost of the program and certification exam as long as certain criteria are met.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

This position requires dependability, and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
