We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions, and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Pharmacy is located within the following clinic:

Community Psychiatric Clinic

4200 Stone Way North Suite P1

Seattle, WA 98103

Schedul is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm. Includes great benefits plus 18 PTO and 8 Paid Holidays!

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and members of the clinic staff

  • Under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist, fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification by the Pharmacist. Once verified by the pharmacist, dispenses the prescriptions.

  • Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies.

  • Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.

  • Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records.

  • Help maintain a clean organized work environment.

  • Perform various clerical duties relating to the department.

  • Work with the pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.

  • Occasional medication delivery to consumers.

  • Other Duties as assigned.

Educational or Skills Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state you are applying to work.

  • Some Pharmacy Technician experience is required

  • PTCB Certification is preferred, but not required for all states

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.

They extend the care provided for patients with chronic illnesses, improve health and wellness, and positively impact quality metrics in patient-centered health care organizations. The main purpose of the pharmacist is to optimize health outcomes by ensuring safe and effective use of medications. In an endeavor to improve providers' efficiency and quality of care, the Clinical Pharmacist that will integrate into the patient care team in a Medicare advantage clinic. Major Duties and Responsibilities: * Identify any barriers to patient compliance. * Design and redesign medication regimens customized to patient Characteristics and needs. * Medication focused patient education. * Assist with the resolution of medication accesses issues. * Updating custom med lists for safety and to reduce rework with wrong prescriptions. * Managing relationship with the area pharmacies to improve our communication, relationship and stay ahead of community practice changes. * Manage our medication prior authorization policy and protocols. * Educate about medication changes to include new drugs, change in indications of existing drugs and when current medications are out of favor. * Monitor and assist with management of overall prescribing trends for appropriate use of medications that may be over or underutilized * Responding to drug consultation requests. * Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners. * Provide information to customers about medications and their use. * Strong focus on providing a superior level of customer service. * Log data into the computer. * Ensure compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy. * Administration of immunizations as allowed by state boards of pharmacy. * Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties. Required Qualifications: * Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy * Current pharmacist license in good standing the state you are applying for * APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certificate or equivalent. Genoa will provide training if necessary. * Post graduate residency experience (PGY-1) in ambulatory care.
