Pharmacy technician works with pharmacists, doctors, and nurses to fill prescriptions for our residents. Their job duties include typing in orders, filling orders, and delivering orders.
The technicians also place daily orders to Cardinal and receive and put away daily orders. Technicians also fill and deliver medication carts weekly to the units.

Candidate must have:
Computer skills
Experience in working as a pharmacy technician.
Working knowledge of medications
Experience in communicating with other healthcare professionals.
Management Prefers Candidate with the following:
Must be registered with the NCBOP (NC Board of Pharmacy). National certification is not required but preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift at least 10 pounds and push a medication cart to and from the pharmacy to the units.Completion of an accredited nine-month pharmacy technician program
OR
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of pharmacy-related experience
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
