Please follow this link for a closer look at what it's like to work at Children's Wisconsin: https://www.instagram.com/lifeatcw/ We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Skywalk Pharmacy team Job Title : Pharmacy Technician- retail Work Schedule: 11-730 Monday-Friday, with the possibility of working 2:30pm-11pm as needed. There is a rotation of working every 5th weekend, those shifts would be anywhere between 8-4:30, 8:30-5, and 9:30-6.

What you will do: Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, you will answer phones, gather contact and insurance information from patients, process insurance claims, process prior authorizations, verify insurance coverage, and fill prescriptions. When patients pick up their prescriptions, you will take payments and ensure they receive the correct medications.

You will also help keep track of inventory and restock shelves. The Skywalk Pharmacy staff take pride in lifting the burden for our patients/families. If this matches your criteriawe want to hear from you We prefer candidates who have some prior pharmacy experience, otherwise those that are excited to learn Pharmacy and have prior customer service experience would also be ideal.

What you will need: • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of a pharmacy tech program preferred. • Registered as a pharmacy technician in the State of Wisconsin • One year experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred. • Good interpersonal and customer relations skills are needed to communicate effectively with various hospital personnel and families and to gather and exchange factual pharmaceutical information. • Ability to work well under pressure due to time constraints and varying workloads. • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. • Ability to operate a computer in order to generate lists, process medication orders, enter charges/credits, generate labels, retrieve patient information, and handle automated dispensing unit functions. • Ability to walk and stand up to 80% of the work time. • Ability to push, pull, and lift weights up to 30 pounds for up to 25% of the work time.
