Underthe general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy compounds and dispensesmedications and monitors drug therapy in patients of all ages for safety,appropriateness and cost effectiveness upon receiving written or verbalmedication orders from the physician. This shall be carried out in accordance with all state/federal laws,regulations, JCAHO and ASHP standards, and hospital/department policy andprocedures.
Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred
Certifications: Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician by the statelicensing board.
Experience: One year work experience as a technician or graduationfrom a technician certification program.
