Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Perform the technical aspects of drug preparation and delivery under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Participate in hospital and department Performance Improvement Programs and assist in drug usage review.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Licensures & Certifications: Employees hired Post April 1, 2019, must be Certified Pharmacy Tech or be enrolled in accredited Pharmacy program and progressing towards PharmD.

Experience: Previous hospital pharmacy tech experience preferred.

Description: As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician at Fairmount Behavioral Health System, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; procuring drugs; Re-package medication, maintain inventory, perform monthly medication room inspection; running the billing; and auditing patient records. You will need to be able to lift up to 10 pounds, be on your feet for extended periods of time, and walking to deliver medications several times daily within the campus. About the Facility: Fairmount Behavioral Health System is located on a 27-acre wooded campus in Philadelphia that offers patients and families a peaceful and therapeutic environment for recovery. A highly regarded treatment center, Fairmount is a resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
