PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - PART TIME
METHODIST HOSPITAL - SOUTHLAKE
As a part time Comprehensive Pharmacy Technician (CPS) at Methodist Hospital Southlake, you'll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications.
Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion.
Based upon business needs, this position may also be scheduled occasionally to provide coverage on the overnight shift or work at the Northlake campus in Gary. This position is part time, 24 hours per week and is scheduled rotating day and evening shifts, including every other weekend both Saturday and Sunday.
High School Diploma or GED
Indiana Pharmacy Technician license that is active and in good standing (PTCB preferred)
Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician (in a hospital preferred)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
