Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City, OR. This is an On-Call position.
We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician IV, Non-Contract
In this position, you will have the following responsibilities:
Be responsible for the mixing and labeling of all IV medications and solutions ordered or during their shift
Maintain skills in all areas of the Pharmacy and IV Therapy so as to enhance productivity and accuracy, these areas should be, but not restricted to, use of sterile technique, IV Therapy procedures, basic math skills, computer skills, Pyxis, Cardinal, and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures
Regularly mix IV additive solutions and chemotherapy as required using aseptic technique with laminar and vertical flow hoods in compliance with USP 797 Guidelines
Clean and document the Clean Room, Chemo Room, Laminar Flow Hood and Chemo Hoods
Clean the TPN Compounder and records
Check Pharmacy Refrigerator temperatures and records
Verify all orders with the Pharmacist on duty. Inform Pharmacist of any medication related problems (e.g. drug incompatibilities, stability issues, etc.)
Required qualifications in this position includes:
Experience with typing, computer data entry and mathematic calculations
Current licensure with Oregon Board of Pharmacy
Preferred qualification in this position include:
Experience in hospital or retail pharmacy
Experience with IVs
