ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday
Friday, 7:30 am
4:30 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities
Collect refuse and recycling carts along designated routes throughout the city.
Empty carts into refuse trucks and return carts to curb.
Assist in unloading truck at landfill, transfer station, and recycling facility.
Assist in repairs, pickups/exchanges, and replacement of refuse and recycling carts
Maintain water cooler on truck for crew and replenish first-aid kit as required.
Maintain grounds by mowing and/or weed eating as needed.
Wears all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows all City and Departmental safety policies, rules, and procedures.
Provide excellent customer services, interacting courteously with residents, business customers, and the general public.
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requires a High School Diploma or GED
No experience required
Previous work experience in physical, heavy work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.) preferred.
A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
