Job Summary

We are searching for a Pharmacy Technician Manager someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll assist the assistant director and pharmacy manager by overseeing physical areas, operations, and technical personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Manages technical personnel

  • Ensures medication preparation and delivery processes are performed according to departmental standards

  • Oversees daily activities related to the ordering, receiving, and distribution of all medications and supplies

  • Staffs in areas and helps to ensure that medications meet the highest standards

  • Processes, fills, and delivers medication orders within established guidelines

  • Demonstrates competence at batch, medication and/or prescription workflows

  • Works with Inventory and Central Distribution personnel to maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies

  • Works with area manager to formulate yearly objectives and provides information to assist in the preparation of the annual budget

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • RPHT TC Registered Pharmacy Technician by Texas State Board of Pharmacy

  • 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred

  • Knowledge of current hospital and departmental standards and a working knowledge of the pharmacy area operations for which they are responsible
