Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician Team Lead for our Inpatient IV Room at Norfolk General Hospital!
Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates!
Status: Full time (40 hrs/wk)
Shift: 10 hour Rotating Shifts
Hours: Days/evenings between 600-2130
Weekend: Every other weekend rotation
Holiday Rotation
Required qualifications:
Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
CPHT (PTCB or NHA national certification)
CPhT-Adv (Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician)
5 years Pharmacy Technician experience
2 years of compounding sterile IV Products
High School Grad or Equivalent

Job responsibilities:
Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist
Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy
Performs tasks that require a higher level of competency
Serves as a resource for the staff, and coordinates the schedule and daily activities of the department
