Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support Sentara PACE!

Location:Sentara Independence (Virginia Beach)

Status: Flexi (minimum 4-8 hours per week with opportunity for additional hours)

Hours: 8am-4:30pm

No Holidays or Weekends!

Required qualifications:

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
• CPhT license through PTCB or NHA -required if licensed in VA after 7/1/2021

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience
• Long Term Care Pharmacy experience

Job responsibilities:

• Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist
• Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders
• Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy
