Summary:

Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist.

Job duties:

  • Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.

  • Fills medication carts on a daily basis.

  • Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.

  • Repackages bulk medications.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and state licensure if required by law.

Summary: Provide admission support to pharmacists, nursing staff, and physicians by gathering and recording a valid home medication list. Job duties: * Interview patients and family members to compile a valid list of patient's home medications upon admission and perform verification and clarification of documents with the Pharmacist. * Communicate with retail pharmacies, primary care physicians, and other resources to gather information and recognize and apply knowledge of appropriate/specific drugs within scope. * Assist department and bedded units to identify and resolve patient safety issues related to medication use and admission medication list. * Record information in the patients EHR in a timely manner and maintain accurate data involving patient information. Requirements: * High school diploma or GED. * 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience or 1 year experience as Pharmacy Technician with Pharmacy Technician certification.
