As a Pharmacy Technician in our practice, you will function as a key partner with our practices and physicians to manage procurement, preparation, delivery/return, and restocking of medications. The Tech also ensures all equipment and technology necessary to fulfill the job responsibilities are maintained.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Filling oral medications, automated dispensing cabinets, code cart trays, and pharmacy kits.
Compounding parenteral medications and ensuring compounding logs are completed and filed appropriately.
Organizing and restocking returned medications including putting away pharmacy orders.
Manages, maintains, and ensures all reporting measures are met and completed in an appropriate time frame.
Notifying the Technician Supervisor of stock-outs and borrowing medication as needed in a timely manner.
Completes and maintains documentation of completed and in-progress tasks including communicating status at shift hand-offs and completing end-of-day procedures.
Performs expiration date audits and nursing station inspections.
Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
Must be familiar with general pharmacy practices and procedures.
Current and unrevoked CPhT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is required.
Must also be licensed in state of residence and employment.
