Physical Demands

  • Standing / walking for an extended period of time.

  • Near vision; ability to see details at close range to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts

  • Wrist / finger speed; ability to make fast, simple, repetitive movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.

  • Ability to push and pull objects, including drawers and other items of similar weight, as well as reaching overhead.

  • Ability to handle and work with small instruments and objects.

  • Bending/squatting/leaning to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

  • Is able to load and unload trays/cases/totes (30 pound maximum to a height of 4 feet).

  • Auditory attention; ability to focus on a single source of sound in the presence of other distracting sounds.

  • Effective verbal communication; expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word, especially when detailed or important instructions must be conveyed accurately.

  • Ability to move quickly from one task to another according to the needs of the pharmacy.

  • The ability to concentrate on a task for significant periods of time.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Licensure requirements vary by state. Learn more by visiting your state's Board of Pharmacy website or asking the hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

  • National Certification from an accredited pharmacy technician certification program approved by specific state regulations (e.g. PTCB, ExCPT, etc.).

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).

WE'RE LINKING THE WORLD WITH THE FUTURE OF CABLE TECHNOLOGY This position provides maintenance support (Electrical and Mechanical) for equipment unavailability issues (breakdowns) and Preventative Maintenance of equipment throughout the facility on a daily basis. This position will also be required to support various improvement projects and other initiatives throughout the facility. As a fully qualified multi-skilled maintenance technician this person will perform a variety of assigned and/or self-initiated repair or upgrade work, this position will have minimum supervision, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. Areas of focus are in mechanical, electrical, electronics, PLC programming, controls, process understanding, and rolling stock. This is a rotating, 12 hour shift position, requiring the ability to work nights and weekends as the schedule rotates. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Champion for Safety, promote a safe working environment and Safety leader * As shift multi-skilled maintenance technician, successful candidate must: * Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs/corrections, electrical or mechanical issues * Install and/r repair complex systems with associated controls and interfaces * Install and/r repair safety devices / interlocks / proximity cables / photo eyes / etc. * Document equipment drawings, to help maintain equipment history files, ensuring accurate/current machine data * Takes the initiative in becoming familiar with equipment changes in order to perform quick and accurate repairs * Must be able to maintain regular and professional communications with all team members; peers, supervisors, engineers and managers * Possess a working knowledge of all process equipment throughout the facility * Adheres to all plant policies and standards regarding attendance, breaks, hours of work, appearance, housekeeping and any other items necessary to maintain efficient operations. * Keeps work areas, tools and equipment in clean – orderly condition. Responsibilities * Maintain a working knowledge of plant production equipment and processes including steam generators, air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, pumps, motors, motor controllers, logic controllers, and general equipment. * Maintain a working knowledge of plant production equipment and processes including copper rod breakdown, intermediate wire drawing, bunching, and cabling. * Maintain a working knowledge of plant production equipment and processes including thermoplastic extrusion, thermo-set extrusion, twisting, and braiding. * Maintain a working knowledge of plant production equipment and processes in order to analyze, troubleshoot, and make sound logical decisions and recommendations for repair and maintaining of such equipment and processes. * Maintain a working knowledge of general equipment, systems, and processes involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems. * Supply and maintain a set of hand tools required to perform and maintain the required duties as well as a working knowledge of such hand tools. * Responsible for initiating actions to prevent the occurrence of product nonconformities as well as preventing the possibility of a future non-conformance. * Perform machine specific preventative maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals. * Work in cooperation with operators, supervisors, and schedulers to determine equipment priorities * Responsible for safety and housekeeping procedures to provide a safe and clean work environment. * Responsible for completion of work assigned, and to properly document all work that is performed, material used, and the length of time to repair. * Responsible for adhering to all environmental, health, & safety policies and regulations including Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, and Hand Tool Safety. * Maintain active certification for driving a forklift.
