• Job Summary

• Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Responsibilities include prescription data entry, insurance claims submission, and product selection. Pharmacy technicians present completed prescription to the pharmacist for verification and routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service. Must be team-oriented and have strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Experience

• Prior Pharmacy Experience Preferred

• Cash register fundamentals

• Direct customer and patient interactions

• Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or technician application in process upon hire.

• Must possess certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

• OR

• Licensed with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern OR application is in process and full licensure is obtained within 90 days.
