The Pharmacy Tech II Meds/Beds delivers prescriptions to patient rooms. Rounds with patients to promote the "Meds to Beds" program. In addition, assists Staff Pharmacists in processing physician medication orders utilizing prescribed procedures under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
Current state license as a Pharmacy Technician (must be current and in good standing).
National certification as a Pharmacy Technician (must be current and in good standing).
High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Good communication skills in order to work with patients/families in explaining Meds to Bed program and providing good customer service.
Computer skills in order to input data on medications and patient prescriptions, as well as process payments at the bedside utilizing mobile checkout units.
1 to 3 months experience in retail pharmacy.
