As a Pharmacy Technician and Assistant Buyer at Physicians Regional Healthcare System you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best, providing quality care to our patients! Requirements:

• Education: Requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent.

• One (1) year of hospital experience, required.

• Must be registered pharmacy technician with the state of Florida.

• You should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field.

About the job:

• Works centrally and de-centrally to perform all functions of a pharmacy technician including pre- packing medications, restocking automated machines, mixing IVs, and auditing records.

• Consults with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure the best patient care and patient safety.

• Prepacking of medications, refilling crash carts, filling first doses, and refilling automated dispensing machines with patient safety at the forefront and ensuring accuracy.

• Auditing of patient charts to ensure safety and accuracy of medication administration.

• Understand, follow and enforce regulations of USP 797, the joint commission and other hospital policies.

• Mixing IV medications utilizing proper technique and following all USP 797 regulations.

• Participates in the training of new technician students and technicians.

• You will be under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist.
