Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. We are currently seeking adjunct faculty members, for face-to-face teaching assignments, in the field of Health

• Pharmacy Technician.

• Demonstrated skills and experience in the subject area

• History of successful teaching experience

• Subject matter expertise, and experience in facilitating learning

• Ability to teach online, and/or willingness to learn and effectively utilize online learning platforms

• Industry certifications in respective fields

• Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools

KSA's/Required Qualifications

• Associate degree.

• Current pharmacy technician certification or licensure as a pharmacist.

• Five years of related industry experience.

• Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Potential for facilitating student success in higher education.

• Willingness to assume relevant technological skills required for effective teaching.

• Demonstrates commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

• Indication of teaching and service furthering the goal of building a culturally diverse educational environment.

• Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.

• Commitment to working with diverse colleagues, students, and community members.

• Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing equity, inclusion, and diversity.

Additional Considerations

• Undergraduate teaching experience.

• Willingness to assume duties to support the strategic goals of Germanna Community College.

• Maintenance of currency in respective professional discipline.

• Demonstrates computer skills that can be applied to a learning management system such as Canvas.

• Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools
