Pharmacy Technician

Description:

Must haves: 2+ years retail pharmacy technician experience or customer service pharmacy experience 2 + years of billing and claims/Patient Service experience retail/specialty/prior authorization experience High school diploma or equivalent CPhT is required within 6 months of starting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required (within 6mths after starting)

• This person must be comfortable on the phones and have previous delivery coordination and claims/billing experience.

• Have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel; - Perform basic office environment tasks;

• Have the aptitude to maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software and systems, and all technical equipment -

• Required to perform duties; and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet. High volume retail pharmacy

• Recognize common drug names, and select proper drug, dosage form, strength and quantity, as appropriate for review by the Pharmacist.

• Throughout the work period you will be coordinating deliveries and pickups via Phone.

• You will also provide timely communication to the Pharmacist for checking and general activities including proper customer service, patient/employee safety, operational/schedule needs, inventory control, etc
