Pharmacy Technician, 7 On/7 Off, Inpatient

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech III demonstrates proficiency to practice in three (3) or more functional areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

This position works Wed -Tues, 7 on 7 off

REQUIRED

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia

• A minimum of two (2) years of health system pharmacy experience

• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician II for a minimum of six (6) months at Northside Hospital.

• Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam recognized by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy with certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

• In lieu of certification, Pharmacy students with Georgia Board of Pharmacy Intern License with a minimum of two (2) years of pharmacy experience.
