Pharmacy Tech

Our Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in the medication management of our patients. They assist Pharmacists in preparing the pharmaceutical needs of our patients and serve as liaisons between Pharmacists and many medication management systems. Compounding narcotics, pre-packaging tablets, and preparing IV medications are simply a few of the important tasks our Pharmacy Techs complete in order to get out patients what they need. If you are a detail oriented Pharmacy Tech, we want to talk to you.

What you'll do:

  • Assists pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to include preparing, filling and distributing medication

  • Screening phone calls/orders and alerting the pharmacist to patient-specific data

  • Prepare medication labels and pre-package tablets, capsules and liquids into single-dose units

  • Participates daily in narcotic audits on the facility units

  • Prepare IV medications under the supervision of the pharmacists

Requirements:

  • Nebraska Board of Pharmacy Registration

  • Pharmacy Tech certification preferred and required after 1 year of becoming registered

  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience

  • Preferred: One (1) year of clerical experience
