Salary range is Min. $16.66/hr to Max. $24.60/hr - based on relevant experience


PRN (as needed) working rotating shifts and schedules

Service & Culture:

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation, delivery storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so.

Quality & Safety:

This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, certifications, registration and other documentation. This position must reflect consistently departmental Quality Improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs and initiatives.

Growth Integration:

This position is responsible for the ongoing professional development of one's own self and peers including demonstrating situational leadership and remaining in a constant learning and teaching state.

People Partnership:

This position is responsible for role modeling teamwork and advancing employee partnership, including actively recognizing excellence and improvement from coworkers, in addition to holding one's self and others accountable for high quality and efficient teamwork between the pharmacy technician and other healthcare providers.

Finance & Stewardship:

This position is responsible not only for the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastages) and discovering new process efficiencies.


This position is responsible for various responsibilities that advance the mission of the Pharmacy Department.



H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

2 years of hospital experience Strongly Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required

I.V. Certification Strongly Preferred

The address is 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Salary: Min $17.96 - Max $27.50, based on relevant work experience. Schedule PRN: As Needed Rotating Schedule Call required to include some holidays Response time - 30 minutes With 5 surgical suites, 1 cysto suite, and 1 endoscopy suite, Texas Health Allen is equipped to handle a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services. We are expanding our Endoscopy service line and targeting exceptional staff that are trained in gastroenterology procedures. The essential job duties of this position are: * Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse. * Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently. * Takes action to reduce or eliminate patient risk. * Documents accurately and appropriately. * Assists in admission/transfer/discharge. * In collaboration/consultation with nurse, adapts care to reflect age-specific and developmental considerations. * In collaboration/consultation with the nurse, incorporates cultural/ religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care * Supports and meets regulatory requirements. * Maintains and enhances patient care skills. * Seeks assistance and supervision when performing unfamiliar tasks. * Serves as a patient advocate. * Complies with personnel policies i.e. Attendance, ID badge, Dress Code, etc. * Communicates per department expectations. * Recognizes and communicates ethical and legal concerns through established channels of communication. * Identifies realistic and measurable annual goals for ongoing skill development. * Uses appropriate communication structure. * Acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills with patients, families, co- workers, physicians, and other customers. * Adapts to changing needs of unit, re: patient census, workload, and crisis situations. * Functions as preceptor in the training and evaluation of practice partners (if selected by Manager). * Flexible with scheduling to help meet departmental/patient needs. * Assists in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve them. * Participates in unit-based programs to monitor and continuously improve the quality of patient care. * Utilizes evidence-based practice. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: * H.S. Diploma or Equivalent * 3 Years GI clinical experience required/previous ERCP experience preferred * CNA - Certified Nurses Aide preferred Or MA - Medical Assistant preferred Or EMT - Emergency Medical Technician preferred Why Texas Health Resources?
