• Job Summary

• Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Must staff majority of time in a hazardous compounding role.

• Job Requirements

• Education

• Required: Annual sterile compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency program.

• Required: Annual hazardous drug compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency.

• Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Experience

• Required: 1-2 years related experience

• Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams

• Proficient in using computers and computer systems such as excel, word, and power point

• Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician/intern OR technician/intern application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days

• Required: Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization. No certification needed with a current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License
