Pharmacy Senior Technician/Oncall/Ukhc - Retail Pharmacy

Job Summary

Assists pharmacists in medicine preparation and distribution for the Retail Pharmacies operating under University of KY Pharmacy Services. Fills and dispenses prescriptions in a busy retail based setting.

Requires attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

This position requires dependability, excellent customer service and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Must be self-motivated and be able to stay on task. Must be reliable and punctual. This position requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to be applied with both patients and other medical professionals.

Creates and maintains cultures where all staff delivers friendly, patient centered care.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Retail and/or Hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required. Hired candidate must maintain licensure as CPhT from PTCB/ExCPT during employment in this position.The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted.

The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience.
