Job Description:

Organizational Overview

DST Pharmacy Solutions responds to the dramatic changes in the pharmacy marketplace through cost effective, customizable, and transparent solutions with evidence based medicine. Through the convergence of our core pharmacy competencies with our healthcare management expertise and strong strategic alliances, we help manage government programs, consumer risk trends, and provide a best-in-class solution in specialty drugs, rebates, and network.

Role Overview

Following detailed instructions, Pharmacy Network Specialists assist in contracting and maintaining Pharmacy Network contractual agreements with Pharmacy Services Administration Organizations (PSAO's), chain pharmacies, and independent pharmacies. They participate in the solicitation process and rate negotiation process. They perform ongoing tracking of contracts by maintaining a database of received and outstanding contracts, provide reports on contract status, and follow up with pharmacies on outstanding contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Review and execute received network contracts for completeness, which includes verifying that necessary signatures and data fields are present.

  • Maintain the pharmacy files to include scanning documents for electronic filing as well as filing hard copies of contracts

  • Monitor the pharmacy contract mailbox for written requests and inquiries, answer inbound phone queries, and complete research to resolve contractual issues

  • Organize, track, and load pharmacy contract return data into the appropriate system(s) and research and resolve contract processing and contracting issues on a daily basis

  • Maintain relationships with key contacts at chain, PSAO, and key independent pharmacies

  • Resolve day to day items between pharmacies and customers

  • Support accurate and timely communications to pharmacies on topics impacting claim processing of DST Pharmacy Solutions networks

Qualifications

Minimal:

  • High School degree and at least 1 year of related experience
  • 6 months healthcare contracting and/or customer service experience

Optimal:

  • Post-secondary education and Pharmacy Technician certification
  • 1 to 2 years healthcare experience

Job Description: Organizational Overview As an Associate with DST Pharmacy Solutions (formerly Argus), you will be part of an organization that promotes better health outcomes for consumers through clinical and technological innovations. Role Overview Pharmacy Reimbursement Specialist will follow the established procedures to monitor customer bank depository accounts for funds received, match the funds to the claims reimbursement reports, and release the financial cycle. They will interact with the bank and customer representatives, as needed. Responsibilities * Establishes EFT banking instructions and reissuing checks to member and pharmacy for claims * Researches and resolving routine payment issues, but will seek assistance in resolving more complex issues * Updates or add pay groups, review and prepare pharmacy balances * Check release and payment processing * Monitors customer bank depository accounts for funds received and matches the funds to the claims reimbursement reports for check release * Authorizes the check release and monitors the bank file for cleared checks to ensure appropriate payment * Researches returned items and prepares, or reissues, checks as deemed appropriate * Assists with system enhancement comparison and testing * Manages small projects including setup of new customers or cycles within the system * Researches and analyzes the circumstances to determine the root cause for out-of-balance situations, including those of a complex nature that are not easily identifiable, and initiates corrective action * Identifies trends in errors and proposes corrective action Qualifications Minimal: * High School degree and 1 or more years of related experience Preferred: * Post-secondary education in Accounting or related discipline * 2 to 5 years accounting, account reconciliation, or related experience * Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel * 10-key and typing 45 WPM Location: Kansas City Missouri DST is an equal opportunity employer and values a diverse and inclusive workplace.
