Sentara Home Care is looking for a full time Pharmacy I/V Tech to join their dynamic team in Chesapeake, VA.

Shift: Rotating

The Pharmacy I/V Tech prepares medications under the direction of a pharmacist. They will measure, mix, count out, label, record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders. The Pharmacy I/V Tech is responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost-efficient drug therapy. Responsible for maintaining compliance under regulation guidelines. Performs tasks that require higher level of competency, such as performing pharmaceutical calculations and operating automated compounding devices.

Qualifications:

  • Registered with the Commonwealth of VA/NC Board of Pharmacy
  • Pharmacy Technician required
  • PTCB or NHA preferred
