Underthe direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, supervisor, and/or directorof pharmacy services, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties forthe hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixtureprogram. Responsible to maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve datautilizing the computer system, prepare intravenous medication, including butnot limited to, chemotherapeutic preparations, hyper-alimentations andantibiotics, fill automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications, procure, and fillrequests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver supplies to nursing units. Job may include direct supervision ofstudents at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employee must have the same licensure or havecompleted the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline ofthe student. Direct supervision meansthe primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
Performsin accordance with delineated job responsibilities and satisfactorily completesa yearly evaluation based on these responsibilities.
Mustpossess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of thepatient/internal & external customer.
Hospital pharmacy experienced preferred;computer experience preferred
PRN position so shifts will vary - please list any/all shifts you are available to work during application process
Looking for employee who can work rotating weekends - possibly every 3rd weekend rotation
