Pharmacy Clerk

Job Type Full-time Description We are seeking a Pharmacy Clerk with excellent customer service to work in one of our pharmacy locations, located in a rural community in Southeastern Utah. UNHS offers a dynamic place to work, practice, and develop personal competencies.

Pharmacy Tasks Compliance to pharmacy law, company policies/procedures.

Customer service and pharmacy communication. Medication delivery Other Tasks and assignments Requirements Greeting patients is the primary function Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies/laws in regards to dispensing medications Provide education and resources to patients, in order to make their visit as smooth as possible Verify patient demographics and medications before dispensing medications Collect insurance, co-pays, and payments for medications or retail items Maintain a clean environment through daily cleaning of all work spaces, disinfecting, sweeping of floors, taking out garbage, dusting, etc.

May participate or assist as needed on other assignments but not limited to. (i.e. Teddy Bear Clinic, Staff retreats, meetings etc.) Other tasks as deemed appropriate by supervisor(s). Will report to Pharmacies in charge (PIC) or staffed pharmacist on duty Experience, Training, and Qualifications needed to perform the job: Preferably has experience working with the public in a health care setting.

Needs to be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to prioritize and multitask. Key Performance Indicators: Pharmacy knowledge or medical background Adhere to pharmacy laws, company policies, and procedures.

Customer service and communication skills Retail experience Attention to detail and computer skills Qualifications: High school diploma/GED Or 5 years' experience in customer service and retail License/Certification: Must obtain/maintain First Aid/CPR certification As a Tribal Organization the Utah Navajo Health System, Inc. Therefore, UNHS requires its employees to show proof of immunization prior to their employment with UNHS or during their employment. Below is a list of immunizations/vaccinations required to be employed or to continue employment with UNHS. The immunizations/vaccinations include but not limited to following:

MMR (Measles Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of two MMR vaccines (OR) Documentation of MMR titers. Complete Hepatitis B vaccine series (3 doses), documented proof of titers indicating immunity, or a declination that may be signed upon arrival. Proof of up-to-date PPD skin testing, if previously negative (OR) Proof of positive PPD skin test with the most recent chest x-ray and treatment history.

Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap). Varicella titers, history of varicella or varicella immunization series. Influenza vaccine for the current year. COVID-19 vaccine Any other vaccinations as requested.
