Pharmacy Billing Exception Handler

Ability to manage, analyze, and reconcile billing and payment detail.

• Able to work under pressure, meet changing deadlines, and maintain orderly files.

• Must possess good written, verbal, telephone communication, and organizational skills.

• Basic understanding or Excel and Word

• Must be able to work well in a team environment.

• Familiar with operating a 10- key.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information.

Must possess computer skills of the types and at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Perform prescription claims adjudications for all pharmacy insurance programs

• Provide prescription price quotes to nursing centers and prescriber's representatives

• Process short orders and partial fill prescriptions billing from pharmacy production

• Manage refill-to-soon rejections process

• Process combine prescription billing (same drug with multiple doses)

• Process and manage prior authorization and non-covered prescription orders

• Handles prescription test claims

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1-2 years of collections/customer service experience

• Healthcare collections a plus

• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
