As part of Cigna Pharmacy Management, the Pharmacy Account Manager (PAM) serves as the primary pharmacy benefits subject matter expert supporting mainly Regional and National segments in tandem with the Cigna Medical Account Management organization.
The Pharmacy Account Manager position will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external employer Clients to advance the Cigna Pharmacy Management Client retention strategy as well provide expertise with implementation, reporting, and day-to-day service functions.
The primary role of the Pharmacy Account Manager is to retain their assigned book of business, assure clients are properly implemented (new and existing clients), support efforts to manage pharmacy trend, and provide a superior service experience in conjunction with our Sales partners.
Satisfactorily supports and retains assigned book of business
Actively provides implementation support to assure a seamless client and customer experience
Actively engages and supports finalist meetings on renewals
Develops a clear understanding of client needs, goals and objectives
Provides strategic pharmacy management options to control cost
Analyzes pharmacy utilization in order to provide clients with consultative solutions
Interprets and translates pharmacy coverage rules based on Cigna policies and evidence based medicine guidelines
Bachelor's degree preferred
3 years of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience supporting client expectations required
Operational understanding and competence with PBM business model required
Experience with consultative client management methodologies
DNA of ownership, accountability and responsibility
Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
Excellent presentation skills in group settings
Technical skills using all Microsoft programs, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to travel in excess of 30% of the time with little or no advance notice
