As a licensed Pharamcist you will perform duties#according to established policies and standard practices of the profession under the regulations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.#Performs duties in support of the Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.#Provides services to all ages of patients. Responsibilities:


Maintains a complete and accurate patient profile as evidenced by QA reports through computer audits. Monitors patient drug therapy and assists physicians and other health care professionals in determining the most appropriate drug therapy. Participates in organized educational programs of the Department of Pharmacy and Medical Center. Provides educational services to patients as required. Provides pharmacokinetic dosing services. Participates in Medical Center drug use/review process. Fills new orders with correct number of doses, correct drug and dosage forms within 20 minutes of receipt of order, and 15 minutes after receipt of order for #Stat# medications. Supervises the dispensing of controlled substances and maintenance of perpetual inventory records. Prepares IV admixtures for inpatients and outpatients; TPN solutions for inpatients and outpatients; and chemotherapy for inpatients and outpatients using aseptic technique. Performs microbiological monitoring and other quality control checks on solutions. Controlled Substances

  • Maintains integrity of controlled substance system. Requirements: Education and Training: ## Bachelor#s degree in Pharmacy required. Experience:#### Previous hospital experience is desirable. Registration, Licensure and/or Certification:# Registered Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or eligible for licensing required.
