Mercy San Juan Medical Center, a Dignity Health member, is a nationally recognized not-for-profit hospital located in Carmichael, California, serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south Placer County. ResponsibilitiesThis position requires a current California Pharmacist License, training and experience that demonstrates the following knowledge, skills and abilities. Knowledge of: pharmaco-therapeutics, therapeutic drug monitoring and therapeutic interventions, pharmaceutical supplies, drugs, chemicals and biologicals; federal and state regulations relating to pharmaceutical transactions, pharmacokinetics, supply management and inventory control.

Skills: effective communication, both written and verbal. Ability to: enforce formulary decisions of the medical staff; maintain accurate and complete records; provide instruction and preceptorship on the subject of pharmacotherapeutics, its use and application.

The incumbent provides timely, accurate, and complete pharmaceutical care, which includes delivery of the appropriate product as well as drug information and drug usage interventions. Demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy San Juan Medical Center and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.Qualifications
1 year ofAcute care in-patient hospital experience Recent acute care in-patient hospital experience. Demonstrated ability to enforce formulary decisions of the medical staff, maintain accurate and complete records, provide instruction and preceptorship on the subject of pharmacotherapeutics, its use and application. Effectively communicate, both written and verbal. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaco-therapeutics, therapeutic drug monitoring and therapeutic interventions, pharmaceutical supplies, drugs, chemicals and biologicals, federal and state regulations relating to pharmaceutical transactions, pharmacokinetics, supply management and inventory control. Current California pharmacist license.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: * High degree of initiative and accuracy. * Self-motivated with the ability to complete work with a minimum of supervision under rigid time constraints. * Customer relations skills including meeting customer needs and establishing an exceptional service environment. * Demonstrates sound business ethics. * Working knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft office, Access, Excel, and Word * Detail oriented with ability to prioritize work. * Interpersonal skills including building relationships and conflict resolution. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Capability to effectively understand customers and employees' inquiries. * Ability to work different schedules to meet store and customer needs.
