Pharmacist

Responsibilities

The Pharmacist is responsible for the efficient operation of the pharmacy, within all legal and accreditation/certification requirements and applicable facility policies, procedures, codes and standards. This includes providing consultation with and direction to administrative, pharmaceutical and professional functions relating to pharmaceutical care provided at the facility.

Shift: PRN - Some weekday and weekend coverage needed

Intermountain Hospital, located in Boise, has been providing quality psychiatric and chemical dependency services to Idaho's Treasure Valley and the western US since 1980. This 151-bed facility is located on 10 beautiful acres near the foothills of Idaho's dramatic Sawtooth Mountains.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy is required. A Graduate degree in clinical pharmacy, an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree, or the equivalent in hospital practice is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years hospital pharmaceutical experience is preferred; must possess the experience to oversee the provision of medication requirements for the patient populations treated in the facility, including a knowledge of dosage for age-specific populations.

Licensure: Currently licensed as a Pharmacist in the applicable State.

Must have a valid driver's license. Controlled Substance license.
