Under general supervision, provides prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals as needed for adequate inpatient/outpatient care according to professional standards and regulatory requirements. Provides drug information to patients and health care workers as required, according to professional standards.
Acts as a consultant for adverse drug reactions. Provides oversight of technical staff.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
Experience: Typically, one year PGY1 residency or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: In depth knowledge of current evidence based practice, drug information and interactions.
Strong communication and active listening skills, and a desire to help others. Ability to work independently and in a team based setting. Ability to be conscientious and pay close attention to detail.
Certifications and Licenses: Licensed by the State of Colorado Board of Pharmacy Registration at the time of hire. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.
