Pharmacist Manager

The Pharmacy Manager-Retail is responsible for effective administration and management of the retail pharmacy. 1) assimilation and provision of comprehensive information on drugs and their actions; 2) development and conduct of a product formulation and packaging program; 3) development and conduct of patient-oriented services; 4) conduct and participation in department activities of pharmacy personnel.

We are looking for an experienced Full Time Pharmacist Manager to join our Olney location.

The Pharmacist Manager will oversee/complete the following tasks:

• Ensure the development and conduct of patient-oriented clinical pharmacy services including a) drug information; b) collection of pharmacy patient data base; c)patient education; d) monitoring and auditing of therapeutic drug regimes; e) drug use review; f) monitoring of specific adverse drug reactions; and g) other services, as required, to optimize drug use in patient care.

• Assure compliance with federal, state and local drug control regulations relating to pharmaceutical acquisitions by keeping abreast of and adhering to new and existing regulations. This position also maintains DEA forms secured for review by DEA, FDA and Board of Pharmacy.

• Leads in the daily management of your element of the organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. Analyze and incorporate effective workflow and process steps and ensure consistent application of those processes.

• Assure the timely, accurate maintenance of pharmacy inventories and acquisition of drug by initiating the procurement of supplies, services and equipment.

• Ensure quality and appropriateness of services.

Hours: M - F 8:30 a.m.

• 6:00 p.m. Sat. 8:30 a.m.

• 3:00 p.m. on a two week rotation averaging 44 one week and 36 the other.
