Pharmacist Intern - Providence St Peter Hospital-Olympia(HR)
SCHEDULE: day and evening shifts, most common shifts will be 0630-1500 or 1430-2300
Under the supervision of Pharmacy Supervisor, performs duties as assigned and allowable according to Washington State WACs and RCWs allowable by a pharmacy intern. These duties include but are not limited to technical medication dispensing functions in compliance with written policies and procedures; A variety of clerical and mechanical medication support duties including the servicing of automated dispensing cabinets, repackaging medications, label preparation activities, information system data entry assignments, stock maintenance functions, maintenance of computerized logs and records, and medication delivery to patient care units; Medication histories as assigned; Counseling and interviewing of SWSA patients as assigned; Other routine departmental support activities approved by a member of pharmacy leadership.
Under a pharmacist's supervision, a pharmacy intern is licensed to enter prescription orders into hospital information systems, select medications for filling prescription orders, compound sterile medication admixtures after meeting approved experience and training requirements, and other duties as assigned. Standards related to performance are as specified. For sterile and non-sterile drug preparation, including hazardous drugs.

Required Qualifications:
Active progress towards a pharmacist degree, as evidenced by Washington Pharmacy Intern Licensure.
Upon hire: Washington Pharmacist Intern Registration Or
Upon hire: Washington Pharmacist License Or
Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License
