Pharmacist - Operations

At the University of Virginia, we have a position that will support product verification for Children's hospital and infusion center. The role has a possibility of growing into clinical order verification and patient profile review as the candidate desires.

Staffing is dayshift, every 4th weekend and 1 major holiday. The will have the opportunity for critical staffing shifts.

Potential for relocation and/or sign-on bonus.

Ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing optimal drug product selection dosage regimen design effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services in the Medical Center.

• Enters physician orders into the appropriate computer system.

• Processes physician's orders.

• Checks and reviews pharmacy assistant/technician's preparation of orders.

• Provides drug information to customers inside and outside of the Medical Center.

• Practices pharmacy in accordance with regulations.

• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $52.46 - $83.94 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree required

Experience: No experience required

Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
