Summary:

Ensures the safe, efficacious, and cost effective preparation and use of medications. Works well within a team environment; accepts and offers honest and constructive feedback; supports team goals and encourages other team members; and collaborates with patient care team members to consolidate work, solves problems, creates new methods to reduce cost as necessary. Shows flexibility/adaptability in meeting environmental constrains and demands placed on services as in common with changing reimbursement and managed care targets.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in pharmacy or; PharmD
• Current Licensure in State of Ohio

Experience & Training Required:

• Manual dexterity to operate of computer terminal, calculator, and other office equipment; to manipulate fine instruments; and prepare pharmaceutical entities in minute proportions

• Working knowledge of pharmacy law

• Ability to acquire skills necessary to operate department computer

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

• Ability to meet departmental standards of practice

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with pharmacists, nurses, technical physicians, and other healthcare personnel

• Ability to acquire skills necessary to operate department computer application packages.

• Must maintain confidentiality of patient and department records

• Ability to self-directed to execute responsibilities within a team structure.

• Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

Level of Physical Demands:

• Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; pushes, pulls, carries, and lifts light to medium loads

HAZARDS: Exposure to blood, body fluids, and sharps; risk of falls strains, contagious diseases, cuts from broken glass, needle punctures, etc

• Possible exposure to selected hazardous substances (e.g., alcohol, chemotherapeutic agents, etc.)

$54.22/hr - $81.33/hr

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers.
