Mountainview Regional Medical Center has an opening for a Full Time Pharmacist - Emphasis in Oncology

As a Pharmacist at Mountainview Regional Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Our Lab staff enjoy a robust benefits package including health insurance, 401K, flexible scheduling.

The Clinical Pharmacist must promote good public relations for the department and Mountainview Regional Medical Center while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality. Clinical Pharmacists are responsible for:

• Interprets and processes physician medication orders and compounds and dispenses medication within regulatory guidelines.

• Monitors drug therapy for appropriateness of drug, dose, route, and duration.

• Screens for drug interactions, incompatibilities, and contraindications and consults with medical staff as indicated.

• Identifies actual or potential drug related problems and intervenes appropriately.

• Provides clinical pharmacy services, including pharmacokinetics, renal drug dosing, management of parenteral nutrition, and monitoring of anticoagulant therapy.

• Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and patients.

• Supervises and directs the activities of pharmacy tech. Participates in formulary management, quality improvement, and medication use evaluation activities.

Education / License / Certification:

• Required: B.S. degree in Pharmacy

• Preferred: Completion of ASHP accredited residency program

Experience / Skills:

• Preferred: Two years hospital pharmacy experience.

• Required: Current Registered Pharmacist license, New Mexico Board of Pharmacy.

• Preferred: Two years Oncology hospital pharmacy experience.

• Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) - Due by close of business on the last day of the month after one (1) full month of work.
