The mission of the North Carolina Division of Workforce Solutions (DWS) is to develop North Carolina's workforce talent, help individuals advance their career opportunities, and meet business workforce needs by connecting talent to jobs. The NCWorks Career Center provides a full range of services to diverse categories of job seekers and employers to meet their employment and placement needs through: assessment and development of job requirements; evaluation of experiences, skills and abilities; referral to jobs, job training programs, or other placement services. Provide information, guidance and assistance to customers seeking employment and employers seeking workers through programs administered by the Department of Commerce, Division of Workforce Solutions (DWS) and local Workforce Development boards in a local career center environment. Deliver employment services, job training, limited unemployment insurance services, and labor market information services to customers seeking work and employers seeking workers in Anson and Union counties. Will provide a full range of services to job seeking customers to meet their employment and training needs, including assessment, referral to jobs and job training programs, job development contacts and placement services. Will conduct Employment Assessment Interviews (EAI) and Re-employment Services and Eligibility Assessments (RESEA). Will conduct interviews and input all relevant information into computer system and utilize database for researching job orders for possible referral. Provide career development assistance and refer to supportive services. May contact businesses by phone and in person to discuss job listing and general services on behalf of customers. Plan, promote, review and evaluate services and advocate employment for customers with the business community and industry. May take job orders, input data and interview job seeker customers. Will cross train in a variety of services offered by the Career Center. Interacts closely with workforce partners in an Integrated Services Delivery (ISD) environment to ensure the appropriate delivery of services to all customers. May be asked to travel as requested based upon business need. Management Preferences: * Workforce Program Experience * Knowledge of Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) * Employment or Workforce Center setting * Excellent communication and problem solving skills * Firm commitment to good customer service Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in human resource administration, case management, job development and placement, employment counseling, vocational guidance and counseling, social work, vocational rehabilitation, claims analysis, or related public contact work dealing with job applicants and employers in a variety of functions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
