JOB SUMMARY: The Staff Pharmacist reviews physician orders for drug therapy and monitors this therapy for drug choice, dosage, drug interactions, adverse drug reactions, and formulary adherence.
Serves as a drug information resource to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare workers.
Properly dispenses all medications, counsels patients on proper use of medications, adverse events, etc.
Performs other related duties as required . QUALIFICATIONS:
in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Experience: Prefer one year of hospital experience License/Registration: Current license in the state of North Carolina Other:
Must have highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills with patients, visitors, and other healthcare team members to establish working relationship that foster optimal quality of patient care.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Range of motion within functional limits.
Constant walking, standing, near vision to normal range.
Occasional work with arms overhead standing, work bent over standing/stooping, use of both hands together, far vision to normal range.
Frequent deviation from neutral position of wrist (opening bottles). Frequent use of either hand, visual color discrimination, visual depth perception, functional vision and hearing . Occasional pushing 20#, pulling 15#, lifting 3# to 78" height from 8" from floor.
Frequent manual/finger dexterity.
Occasional use of stepstool depending upon height of teammate.
